Department Buyer/Purchaser


1.Assists the Merchandising Assistant on the following matters:
Selection of merchandise to be sold in her assigned area;
Suggest new merchandise and merchandise trends as derived from their customers’ wants and
suggestions
2. Conducts regular merchandise information meetings with the Section Heads and CSA’s, as well as giving merchandise facts to all concerned.
3. Keeps track of fast selling merchandise for speedy preparation of repeat orders.
4. Keeps track of slow selling merchandise and recommends proper actions to move the merchandise.
5. Sees to it that the Section Head monitors inventory of all the merchandise in their section, with actual quantities available at any given time.
6. Periodically inspects and monitors stocks in the warehouse to see to it that all merchandise are represented and available in the selling area.
7. During merchandise arrivals, assists the Stock Control (Receiving) staff identify their merchandise and when necessary, assists in the quality control of the newly arrived merchandise to facilitate preparation of discrepancy and damage reports.
8. Sees to it that a new arrivals have been properly requisitioned by the Section Head and that the newly arrived merchandise have been called to the attention of the CSA’s and are properly displayed.
9. Recommends to the Merchandising Assistant, RDM’s as well as disposal of slow moving items, damaged or shop worn merchandise.
10. Coordinates with the Floor Supervisors on Section Head’s and CSA’s performance of their respective duties and responsibilities.
11. Evaluate Section Heads and CSA’s as to the performance of their merchandise responsibilities.

General Responsibilities: Assumes overall responsibility of the Finance and Logistics Operations of Davao Plant and ensures that all internal control policies are in place and effectively implemented.


Requirements:


A Certified Public Accountant is preferred
Male or Female, 30 years old and above
Extensive or at least 5 years experience in Finance Operations
Knowledge in Logistics Operations
Analytical
Good business communications and negotiation skills
Team Player and can relate very well with all levels in the organization

Nic left a few years afterwards for other opportunities, but the three friends continued on. Jake and Ferwin were 24/7 right from the onset while Mike, who was still employed until 2002, finally went full time and took over finance and admin operations.


Soon, they established several more companies / stores. Dataworx, Digiworx, PCworx, and several more companies were established. A service company, originally called WX Dynamic Services but then re-launched as Action Labs IT Services went into operations as well. Collectively, they are now called the WorX Group of Companies.
